In this role, you will be overseeing the testing of an on-prem and cloud based web frontend solution interacting with HVAC control equipment. You will be working with a variety of technologies and creating test strategies, test plans and automated tests to ensure we deliver exceptional quality software that meets stakeholder requirements.

The successful candidate will be creating test strategies, developing automated tests and frameworks, and executing manual tests. The candidate will be leading, and coordinating the testing effort of a 7 person QA team.

  • Serving as a Test Lead on a large software test team.
  • Developing test strategies and test plans for large software development projects.
  • Designing, developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Estimating test development and execution on large projects or features sets
  • Evaluating tools and technologies required for effective testing of the products
  • Providing detailed reports on progress and status of the product from a SQA perspective.
  • Ensuring software process is followed.  Examples are vision, scope, build and turnover process and ensure requirements are in place.
  • Issue management and monitors issues for workflow, priority and completeness.
  • Managing a team of QA specialists spread across multiple projects
Main skills required:
  • Python Programming
  • Test Automation Tools/Technique
  • Internal Test Automation Frameworks
  • Technical Writing
  • Test Estimation for larger projects
  • Test Automation - Plan/design
  • System Analysis
  • Knowledge of SDLC's (Agile, waterfall,etc.)
  • Team lead, mentorship and supervisory experience.
Experience required:
  • 5+ years of software testing experience
  • 3+ years leading a software testing team
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with Python or other programming languages
  • Experience with Windows/Linux Servers
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Working knowledge of control theory and electronics is an asset.
