Application Support Specialist - BAS

Delta Controls has an opening in our Technical Services Department, internally referred to as a Delta Systems Specialist, to be based in our Surrey, BC offices (Cloverdale/Langley border). This is a full-time, permanent position.
  • The position will provide technical assistance to our Partners in areas of installation, testing, start up, maintenance, and training on all aspects of the Delta Controls Building Automation System.
  • Handling product support requests via online Chat, email, web form, and telephone.
  • Manage customer issues and requests through our cloud based Zendesk application.
  • Remote support sessions using remote desktop applications such as ConnectWise Control and GoToMeeting. 
  • Determine the most effective method(s) to respond to these issues (workaround, Knowledgebase article, personal phone call, escalate to development, etc).
  • Track software and hardware issues for identification and resolution.
  • Upon request conducts on-site investigation of application and product related issues.
  • Provide feedback, or reports on customer issues, to the Product Management group.
  • Continuous improvement projects that improve our customers product and support experience.
    • identifying new ideas, workflows and tools for customers.
    • implementation and development of these tools.
  • Provide technical product demonstrations where necessary.
  • Work with technical writers as the technical adviser for product documentation.
  • Participates in technical review of product documentation.

Cybersecurity Program Manager
Location Surrey, BC, Canada
We are searching for a analytical and technology-driven Cybersecurity Program Manager for an upcoming new role. We are looking for a talented individual with a well-rounded background in Security, Data Centres, Software, Hardware and Networking.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Development, you will operate independently and be part of a team to ensure our organization, software, hardware and related components are protected from cyber attacks. You will also work with the product development teams to create internal processes to ensure the products continue to meet corporate cybersecurity requirements including various security standards. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop an internal process, procedures and plans for each product development team to certify their solution to the identified corporate level of security certification which may change over time.
  • Work with Product Strategy and Product Management to derive, implement and maintain the security certification roadmap.
  • Lead the security program to deliver on the security certification roadmap.
  • Work with development teams on secure development life cycle best practices and standardization including IEC-62443-4-x.
  • Ensure our process and procedures stay current.
  • Apply best practices and international cybersecurity standards.
  • Support overall project management best practices.
  • Provide awareness and training sessions on cybersecurity.
  • Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability assessments to identify risks based on technology, organization or operations.
  • Identify known vulnerabilities to our products, platforms, operating systems and services
  • Identify external/public violations to Delta Control’s guidelines (use Shodan or other tools)
  • Track deployments to ensure public facing violations are resolved.

Data Scientist
Location Surrey, BC, Canada
Delta Controls Data Scientists are responsible for driving the creation of Delta Controls future data architecture and framework for building future value for the Delta Controls business, which includes data analytics, and machine learning. This includes focusing on the identification and characterization of data sources, the method and process around data ingestion, cleaning and characterization, the analysis and creation of algorithms for machine learning and the building of prediction algorithms within our system. They would also focus on the investigation of new and unproven data driven technologies, advancing the state of the art and developing ideas that inspire and inform the future of Delta Controls. They will have projects internally as well as collaborate with other research teams in different Universities and/or other corporate teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business and/or product solutions and value
  • Data mining using state of the art methods
  • Extending the company’s data with third party sources of data
  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
  • Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used in the analytics

Facilities Manager

Delta Controls is searching for a Facilities Manager to work with our team in an exciting new project - our new building. We are pursuing candidates with demonstrable achievements in facilities management that exemplify energy, passion, and drive.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying on with all daily functions related to the Delta Controls facilities. This includes project coordination, budget management, purchasing, staff development, etc. This role also involves the coordination and management of all contractors related to infrastructure development and facilities upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all building systems are operated and maintained according to health and safety and regulatory requirements. Providing a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Works with the management team to ensure facility operations meet requirements such as up time, reliability and energy efficiencies.
  • Works with the management team to create a memorable visitor experience before, during and after visiting the building.
  • Works with the management team to create an employee experience that will both attract talent to Delta Controls and promote retention of staff.
  • Interact, plan and schedule major/minor jobs with contractors to ensure services provided to the facility meet company needs.
  • Hands-on and in-depth knowledge and understanding of complex building maintenance systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC.
  • Project manage the implementation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects ranging from small scale multi-trade construction projects to office layout and renovations.
  • Prepare and control annual operating expenses and capital budgets for building operations. Identify and implement cost saving ideas for facility maintenance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and seek alternative vendors where required.

Hardware Test and Verification Manager

The Hardware Test and Verification Manager is responsible for leading the verification and validation of Delta Controls products to consistently deliver highly reliable, secure, and robust hardware systems to our Customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the hardware verification and validation (V&V) team.
  • Own hardware testing, from the sub-system level up to the full-system level.
  • Review Use Cases, Requirements and Design Specifications.
  • Create Test Plans and work with the test leaders and lab resources to meet project deliverables and schedules.
  • Analyze gaps in resources to execute Test Plans and coordinate solutions as needed.

Delta Controls is looking for Production Workers for our Surrey, BC office (Cloverdale/Langley border). This is a full-time, permanent position to start ASAP.

Production Workers work in different areas of Delta Controls manufacturing department, the initial focus of this position will be in Final Assembly. Production Workers are trained in multiple areas and from time to time may be moved to another department. Production Workers duties will change due to experience, training and ability. Some of the duties and responsibilities of this position will include: 

  • Initiating action to prevent problems within the product, process or quality system.
  • Documenting problems within the product, process or quality system.
  • Contributing to the solution of problems.
  • Verifying the implementation of corrective action.

Delta Controls is hiring for a Quality Assurance (QA) Hardware Analyst position based in our Surrey, BC office. We are looking for someone who is passionate about understanding the minute details of how complex electronic systems work, and methodically pushing the system to the breaking point. This is a full-time, permanent position to start as soon as possible.

QA Hardware:

• Performs hardware validation on new products prior to their release to Manufacturing.
• Ensures all quality checklists, procedures, and requirements are adhered to for all assignments.
• Creates all associated test programs, script files, and other automated testing systems.
• Designs and builds any necessary test jigs and configures any related equipment.
• Documents all test results and findings.

Package and prepare product for customer shipments daily. Daily scope of work will be based on sales orders and customer demand.

  • Prepare and fill orders based on completed sales orders.

In this role, you will be overseeing the testing of an on-prem and cloud based web frontend solution interacting with HVAC control equipment.
