Business Development Manager (USA)

The Business Development Manager researches, plans and develops business opportunities for Delta Controls and Delta Partners in specific market segments and types of clients. The intent is for the Business Development Manager to be the major account champion and to generate sales revenue for the defined segment(s). The ideal candidate will have experience selling into one or more of the following vertical markets: Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities, Healthcare, Health Sciences or Hospitality. Experience which would support our integrated systems strategy would be a plus. This position will utilize offices in Vancouver, British Columbia and Fremont, California as well as travel for business. Being located in Vancouver, BC or Fremont, CA is not a requirement for this position.
  • Bring incremental growth to Delta Controls by pulling through end user and occasionally general contractor opportunities, leading to the successful implementation of major accounts
  • Manage the penetration into a selected major client and associated vertical market, combined with an integrated green offering
  • Develop major account sales objectives, plans, programs, and budgets
  • Direct sales operations through a combination of direct sales activities to key stakeholder customer groups
  • Look for integrated opportunities from converging industries such as access control, lighting and any other IoT related industries
  • Generate new business through the promotion of Delta Controls, Delta Electronics and CopperTree Analytics products
  • Ensure that distributor sales teams are equipped with the necessary tools, process and structure to support the account opportunities generated
  • Research the assigned market(s) needs, identify key stakeholders, market trends, competition, opportunities and key success factors
  • Identify and communicate product/service needs and market trends to Delta product managers and management
  • Identify appropriate marketing materials specifically required for your market and be a lead stakeholder and driver in their development
  • Capture new clients by taking the sales process from prospect, to proposal, to closing
    • Identify the appropriate Delta Partners to work with those clients
    • As necessary, initiate introductions to bring the Partner(s) into the sales process
    • Manage the strategic selling process with the client and Delta Partners to secure the projects
    • Strive to create new satisfied Delta customers willing to act as a reference
  • Maintain a long-term relationship with the clients to ensure continuing revenue
  • Direct sales operations through a combination of direct sales activities to key stakeholder customer groups

Electrical Equipment Technician

Delta Controls is hiring an Electrical Equipment Technician to be based in our Surrey, BC offices (Cloverdale/Langley border). This is a full-time, permanent position to start as soon as possible.
  • The position will provide technical assistance to our Partners in areas of installation, testing, start up, maintenance, and training of our electrical equipment products, as well as integrating it into the Delta Controls Building Automation System.
  • Manage customer issues and requests through our web based Help Desk software.
  • Determine the most effective method(s) to respond to these issues (workaround, knowledge base article, personal phone call, etc).
  • Analyze the issue(s), identify the underlying cause(s), and determine the most appropriate response.
  • Upon request, conduct on-site investigations or startup/commissioning of VFDs and related peripheral product.
  • Provide feedback, or reports on customer issues, to the Product Management group.
  • Write Knowledge Base Articles and participate in technical webinars.
  • Provide technical product demonstrations where necessary.
  • Work with technical writers as the technical adviser for product documentation.
  • Participates in technical review of documentation.

Quality Process Analyst

Delta Controls is hiring for a Quality Process Analyst position based in our Surrey, BC offices (Cloverdale/Langley border). This is a full-time, permanent position to start as soon as possible.

Job Summary

The Quality Process Analyst leads process improvement initiatives, conducts investigations and analysis, documents and communicates changes, and builds relationships, all with the aim of improving performance throughout the organization and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Develop and document Process Maps, Value Stream Maps and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), working directly with process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Plan and implement process improvement initiatives (e.g., ISO, Lean or Six Sigma).
  • Organize and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Participate in and drive the timely resolution of process-related Quality Issues.
  • Develop and deliver training on processes, procedures, data measurement and analysis, and process improvement.
  • Create, and provide the Management team with standardized monthly reports that use metrics and trend analysis to quantitatively communicate the status of the Quality System.
  • Deliver staff presentations as required to communicate changes resulting from process improvement initiatives.
